Little Roots Music
Join Maggie, Mia and Annie for an interactive performance of the songs of Little Roots. Families get to hear their Little Roots favorites on Guitar, Ukelele, fiddle, and Banjo, and also hear/see some body percussion, lots of vocal harmony, and “Little Man”, the Limberjack.

Little Roots is an enriching and engaging community music experience for the young child and their caregiver. This is your little one’s introduction to the joy of music. As professional musicians and educators, Little Roots founders, Annie Stevenson and Maggie Shar, recognize the value of quality live music for people of all ages. Maggie and Annie strive to create a warm, supportive, loving musical atmosphere.

Maggie and Annie select and write songs rooted in a variety of musical traditions: American Folk and Old-Time, West African, Native American, Gospel, Irish Trad, Rock, Jazz and Blues amongst others. The repertoire is fun and accessible, including elements of storytelling and exposure to a variety of instruments.

Children will enjoy group singing with guitar, banjo, or ukulele, drumming, rhythm sticks, parachute play, scarves, bells, movement, dance, and story telling! Each song offered has an instrument or movement activitiy to engage children ages 3 months - 5 years old.
