Songs and Stories from Abroad:
Fresh off the boat, Max shares some what he learned while searching for the old music of England. Backed by a folk-jazz ensemble, expect to hear old ballads, new songs, and bad jokes.

Max Wareham’s voice is always about to break, warbling and true. He cut his teeth studying jazz at conservatory, but now polishes them digging holes on a horse farm. Known primarily as bassist in psychedelic-pop-rock band Sun Parade, and contributing songwriter to studio-collective Cousin Moon, his solo work is influenced by British folk music, early country music, astronauts, ancestors, deep-sea divers, and Medieval English poetry.

Riverteeth
Riverteeth is two musicians and artists, Mary Lauren Fraser and Kiah Mae Raymond. Named for the hardwood knots that resist decay, carried down rivers to the sea, Mary and Kiah collaborate to hold and tell the stories that still have a sharp bite. Weaving together storytelling, shadow puppetry, papercut visuals and traditional tunes, they perform ancient ballads, haunting tales and fiddle tunes from Appalachia, Scandinavia, and beyond.
